Mary Ellen taught art to elementary and middle school students in the Washington Metropolitan area for over 24 years.  She currently conducts colored pencil workshops for students of all ages. The artist holds a Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition to being a Signature member and 5 Year Merit Award recipient of CPSA and DC 109, she is also a member of the Maryland Federation of Art (showing in the Circle Gallery, Annapolis, MD and a variety of alternative spaces).  Her award winning work has been juried into numerous regional and national exhibitions and is included in private collections in the United States and abroad.
